We’re not a resale shop… We’re a community driven golf access program powered by rescued gear and shared generosity!
Welcome to Secondhand Lions Golf
Founded by Jeffrey Brown — the grassroots gear rescuer behind the mission.
I grew up learning this game the way a lot of kids did — with a cut‑down club, a patch of grass, and someone who believed a swing was worth encouraging.
Now I’m building a community project that keeps that spirit alive.
Secondhand Lions Golf is my way of rescuing the forgotten gear sitting in garages and basements and putting it back into the hands of people who can use it.
Some clubs go to kids and beginners. Some support local programs. Some get restored and sold to help fund our long‑term goal: building a free community driving range in Algonquin.
I’m not a retailer. I’m not a program.
I’m the grassroots connector — the person who shows up, picks up the clubs nobody’s using, cleans them up, and rehomes them where they can make a difference.
If you’ve ever had an “Uncle” in your life who handed you your first club and said, “Go ahead, give it a swing,” that’s the energy behind this whole project.

What We Do
- Rescue unused golf clubs and equipment
- Clean, sort, and rehome them into the community
- Support programs like First Tee, local schools, and youth groups
- Restore vintage and antique pieces for collectors
- Build momentum toward a free, accessible driving range for everyone
Nothing goes to waste. Everything finds a purpose.

Why It Matters
Golf grows when the barriers come down.
When equipment flows freely.
When someone gets their first swing without worrying about cost or judgment.
That’s the heart of Secondhand Lions Golf — a grassroots movement built one rescued club at a time.
